Exhibition: Possession A sense of immersion in visual culture generally, the use of new and old technologies, a revisiting of earlier critical issues around authorship, originality and context, the un-even significance of signs within a global context, and an embracing of the evacuation of the image characterizes all the artworks in Possession. These issues can challenge the very possibility of a singular or distinct context for understanding the artwork and the presence of the artist all but dissipates; yet much of the artwork within this exhibition subtly undermines this assumption. Possession points to the paradox of a claim for specificities and subjectivities in much contemporary art practice whilst acknowledging the greater forces and agencies which affect it; or, who is in the process of possessing who? And how do we decide? |
A Study of Buddhist Philosophy and the Creativity in Contemporary Art Each researcher (artist) creates 2 or 3 dimensional contemporary artworks that develop the concept from study and interpretation of Buddhist principal, philosophy and belief. Communicating through images and symbolic, the work conveys audiences to appreciate the context and relationship between Buddhist Dharma, nature, and modern materials. The idea is to analyze and synthesize how art, culture, and philosophy are rapidly changing and giving out influences among each other by using various media and materials that are assembled to produce the creations of paintings, sculptures, mixed media arts, and installation arts. The aim of the project is to pass on Buddhist teaching to people that will lead to the creation of more love and faith in today's society. |

The Passage In My Mind This exhibition received an inspiration from my direct experience on a fire event and the toxic air in Chiangmai Township. The exhibition would present all of the stories through the Installation Art that revealed the surreal and the virtual awareness as well as the recognition that the audience would be able to comprehend and to perceive as though they were in the real situation. The goal was to reflect the real occurrence that really happened nowadays. |
