Some artworks are not revived but the artworks themselves revive, improve, treat and restore the artist's feelings, sufferings and even some old mental scars.

Color Communication
By Philip Marc Adomat
5 September - 11 October 2013
People's Gallery P1 - P3, 2nd floor artHUB@bacc

"Color communication" is an absorption of Thai culture and street art style with an abstract expressionism base. All paintings for this show are the most pure version of communication through the artists' own language. Use of colors, street art techniques and influences from abstract expressionism and pop art make the artists' paintings look denser and more multidimensional. Colorful, vibrant and energetic forms express the paintings movement toward a new dimension of happiness.

"Between the Space" Performance by Melati Suryodarmo Melati Suryodarmo is an Indonesian artist who studied and lived in Germany for more than 20 years. Between the Space: Workshop on Performance Art with Melati Suryodarmo focuses on understanding the body as the main medium of a performance work, which is one of the way to keep the intension to be transferred. The body can be considered as the container of memories as well as functioning physical, psychological, and socio-cultural body. Movement or action in a performance can be coherently interpreted in different way than what were intended. Reading the body as the main source to be unveiled will be introduced in this workshop. We will encounter our physical body and the cultural body, and how to put the body in the space, as well as how to understand the body as the space. In this workshop, I would like to offer some physical methods and encourage contextual encounters between the participants. The workshop will request participations of outdoors as well as indoor situated exercises, practical application of beforehand as well as new ideas for performance and discussions.
