EARLY YEARS PROJECT #3: COEVAL
An Incubating Project for Young Artists

21 September - 25 November 2018 / Main Gallery, 9th Floor

The Early Years Project #3: COEVAL continues its mission and selected 7 qualified artists to join the project, after which they will receive fundings to create and present their works as well as processes at BACC. In addition, the artists will take part in Critic Session and Mentoring Aid to further develop their artworks. Following the project’s conclusion, the judge will select two outstanding artists based on their projects and presentations as the recipients of Mobility Funding and Artist Residency scholarship.

Bangkok Art Biennale

19 October 2019 - 3 February 2019 / Main Gallery, 7th - 8th Floors

From October 19 until February 3, Bangkok will host 75 internationally acclaimed artists from 34 countries, in 20 locations across the city including Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. This first ever international contemporary arts event in Thailand is expected to interpret and document the diversity of culture through different artistic disciplines utilising multiple artistic mediums. With 'Beyond Bliss' as the theme, the unique artistic creations will bear interesting relationships with the sites where they are housed. Highlights include a suspended tape sculpture by "Numen for Use Design Collective" (Above Photo) and an exhibition by "Muslimah Artists" which reflects their culture, beauty, and hope for lasting peace in the south of Thailand.

ABSURDITY IN PARADISE Exhibition

and in collboration with the Kasseler Kunstverein

Museum Fridericianum, Kassel, Germany

The first Thai contemporary arts exhibition at the Museum Fridericianum, Absurdity in Paradise plays with the paradox of Thailand as a paradisiacal place of yearnings. With video and media works, photographs and spacious installations, fourteen contemporary Thai artists illuminate the fracture points of present-day Thailand --curated by pichaya Aime Supichavani.

Kritsada Kaewmani: The Colorist

Kritsada has been working as a colorist for many Thai films during the post-production process since coloring was part of a computer-generated imagery (CGI) department. He is now a technical director at One Cool Production. His notable works include Die Tomorrow and BNK48: Girls Don’t Cry.
