RIFTS: Thai Contemporary Artistic Practices in Transition, 1980s - 2000s

The contemporary art exhibition comprises selected works by 13 Thai artists, featuring paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, video arts and records of major events that reflect the evolution of contemporary art in Thailand.

Comprising paintings, ceramics, 3D works, photographs, and many other forms of art, the exhibition celebrates the creativity of 51 Thai and Japanese artists outside art school. Included in the collection are paintings by Preecha, a prisoner who seeks to portray his confusion and the human search for redemption. Marie Suzuki's "Desire, the Source, What makes them create," which has been exhibited both in Japan and other countries, showcases the colorful intricate patterns.

Art of Element & Therapy

‘Art therapy’ has been dubbed the art of processes. It has long improved the quality of life for people who lose their physical or mental balance.

Works by artists and art therapists invite visitor to experience art and therapy, and to understand how the visual elements of art, the human elements and therapeutic elements become the source and components of art therapy processes.

CINEMA DIVERSE 2019: GLoW!

For the 7th annual edition of Cinema Diverse, four international films, selected by a humanities scholar, a filmmaker, a history professor and a writer will be shown from September - October 2019. After each screening, there will be a post-screening talk and a Q&A session to discuss ideas and thoughts about the film.

Registration for each screening starts at 16.00 hrs.
Entry fee is 100 Baht per person (with a free programme leaflet).

Discover Thai handicrafts and support communities with these products from the collaboration between folk craftsmen and young designers.

Ethnica These eco cotton bags with contemporary design are made of organic cotton grown by the community. Dyed with natural colors, the fabric was woven using the traditional Karen "backstrap loom" technique, resulting in durable cloth which lasts over 10 years.

Maison craft Placemats and coasters
The braided reed and jute mats were handcrafted in Chantaburi, with modern design by young designers.
