The 9th White Elephant Art Award Exhibition “The Land of Smiles” 24 March - September 2020 / Main Gallery, 7th Floor The 9th White Elephant Art Award Exhibition themed ‘The Land of Smiles’ will bring together realistic and figurative art pieces to celebrate Thailand’s tranquility and natural wealth, as well as the good spirit, kindness, and generosity of Thai people. Throughout the history of Thailand, the country’s independence has been safely guarded for future generations by a long line of Thai ancestors. Guided by positivity, Thai people lead a simple, peaceful, and friendly life, as reflected in the radiant sincere smiles on their faces. The exhibition comprises paintings, sculptures, prints, and mixed media of all techniques and materials to showcases these unique characteristics of Thailand. Find Out More |

EARLY YEARS PROJECT #5 by MILLCON: 20/20 Fluidity of Change 5 March - September 2020 / Main Gallery, 9th Floor This year, eight shortlisted artists have worked with the theme of “Tomorrow…Aesthetics, Contemporaries and the Environment” with the hopes that their art will inspire the audience to contemplate on the balance between human and nature. |

Thananan Chaisawang worked with the visually impaired to create “ Bio Blind Project, 2020” a series of elephant sculptures made of recycled and upcycled materials. The found objects of the people involved. The pieces are accessible to both sightedand visually impaired audience, in hope that friendship will develop through art. |

"Through the lens of found objects and the visually impaired." Awika Samaksaman’s “Social Weaving, An artistic research project” was designed as an art experimental ground using the weaving process to symbolically reflect social participation.The audience will interreact with each another in this study of human relationship. The weaving process relies on themutual observation, rhythm, and communication between the sender and receiver, as they push and pull with the loom. |

"The aftermath of human domination: the confined growth of nature." The installation ” In the Anthropocene, What does your freedom mean?” , 2020 by Rattana Sujarit depicts “life in confinement” with plants that grow in the limited space, without freedom. The piece aims to raise awareness of the shift from an agrarian society to a society of innovation and technology and calls for a balanced use of technology. |

"Imagination shields the soul from the crooked world of reality." “Soul / The myth / Giant / instagram.com / ronarong.b / Absurd” is a motion graphic series by Ronarong Buththongkaew. Line drawings, video, and 3D art were assembled into non-realistic free forms as if in a process of art therapy, reflecting the artist’s vision and imagination. Find Out More |
