Glass Plate Negatives: Stories That Transcend Time Exhibition
The National Archives of Thailand, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited and The Photographic Art Foundation

Main Gallery, 8th Floor
Curator: Thanpuying Sirikitiya Jensen

This exhibition is a curation of glass plate photos selected by the National Archives for this year, and a collaboration between The National Archives of Thailand, Thai BeveragePLC, and The Photographic Art Foundation.

The exhibition traces the time when Siam was transitioning into a unique era of “East meets West” cultural fusion. Follow the steps of King Rama V and members of the royal family as they visited different provinces in a personal and relaxing manner. The rich historic collection does not only reflect the way of life during the reign of King Rama V to King Rama VII but also captures the sentiments of the period, from the peaceful simplicity of life and curiosity awaken by new encounters.
