led by Ms. Margaret Shiu (Bamboo Curtain Studio, New Taipei City)
Thursday 27 July 2017 at 16.00 - 18.00 hrs.

BACC would like to invite the public to participate in a BACC Art Talk 2017 program, which will be held under the theme
"Lesson Abroad", with the focus on major movements, trends, lessons, experiences and strategies of the international
circle of art & culture management. These can be a useful case study for local audiences to reflect on the current Thai
scene. Both local and international speakers will join in at least three events in this years’ series.

This July, there will be two events of Art Talk. First, on 23rd of July (Sunday), which will be led by Mr. Badrolhisham
Mohamad Tahir who is the current curator of Galeri Petronas, a major privately-run cultural agency in Kuala Lumpur.
He will share information regarding his over four years on this job, as well as talking about the general contemporary
visual art scene of Malaysia.

This program is suitable for artists, those in art management, visual art and cultural circles, as well as the general public
who have an interest in the subjects of both neighboring and ASEAN countries.

Second, on the 27th of July (Thursday), will be led by Ms. Margaret Shiu, the founder of the Bamboo Curtain Studio,
New Taipei City, which is a major model of Asian and international circles for its active role in promoting an exchange
program on contemporary arts, as well as in conserving and regenerating a new context for old valuable architectural
spaces through art and creative activities.

*Lecture is conducted in English, with Thai translation, No reservation required.
